IN-GYM UPDATED
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
CLEANING/IN-GYM PROCEDURES for motion education facilities:
We at Dynamite Gyms care for the safety and welfare of our students. As a result, we have created new policies and procedures in adherence to the guidelines set forth by the CDC, as well as by Montgomery County. Because of this, we are asking that parents do not come into the sessions unless necessary. Parents will be invited to stay in the gym during their child’s consult, and any additional session where each student would be more comfortable. However, parents are strongly discouraged from being in the gym with students.
We have created an internal system that will limit movement of the students while in our facilities, thereby helping to enforce the social distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 ft in all ways, at all times. That being said, we also understand that many students will require hands-on assistance. Each Motion Education instructor is trained to assist all students on their progression through skills and individual goals. If you are uncomfortable please let your facilitator know and we will work with you to keep contact to a minimum.
Entry
Families are asked to line up in front of the entrance to our facility (or wait in their car) to be brought into the facility . One by one students will enter the facility to have their temperature checked using a no-touch thermometer. Each student will walk with their facilitator to their cubby. After taking off their shoes and wiping their feet each student will be lead to a hand sanitizer dispenser to sanitize their hands before entering the gym. We ask that parents bring a water bottle for their student, if they need it. All water fountains in all facilities are closed.
Stations in the gym are being utilized wherever possible to keep students from sharing equipment. Equipment will not be shared among students during sessions whenever possible even during integration. Number indicators within the gym will mark where students can help keep students safety 6ft away from each other. Once a session is over student(s) will be lead by their instructor back into the lobby through a side entrance. One-by-one they will collect their shoes from their cubbies and sit with their instructors to put their shoes on. Parents will be able to check in at the front door at the end of their child’s session and instructors will escort each student to meet their parent/guardian. Students are encouraged to bring a gym bag containing a water bottle, socks, a face covering, and hand sanitizer.
Students, who can, are required to wear masks throughout the gym.
Additionally:
-Instructors will be washing their hands every hour.
-Every adult (administrative or instructor) in the gym will wear a face covering.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING GUIDELINES:
-Parents are encouraged to walk their gymnast to the front door of each Dynamite facility but to stay outside during their session This is for the safety of the other students as well as our staff. If parents insist on coming into the facility they will need to adhere to all Dynamite guidelines and safety protocols. Parents will not be allowed to use the bathrooms at Dynamite.
-Because parents are not expected to accompany their children into the building, PLEASE include a phone number where a parent or guardian can be reached immediately in case of an emergency. The backpack will remain with your student as they travel through the gym. This will cut down on free movement and ensure that the athletes are sanitizing their hands each time they rotate through the equipment, and enter and exit the gym.-PLEASE pick up your child on time! We now have complicated rotation schedules to ensure proper social distancing, and have no space or staff to safely care for your student after class.
-Instructors must wash hands every hour. (If they have classes lasting more than an hour, an administrative staff member will assist with the class while the instructor washes his or her hands)
-Instructors are responsible for cleaning the equipment used by their students, however, if time is limited we will have additional staff in the facility to ensure that all stations are cleaned between classes.
-All adults within the facility will be wearing face-coverings. Students will be allowed to take their face-coverings off while on their stations.
-For the safety of our students and our staff, parents are REQUIRED to notify Dynamite if anyone in their student’s family/household exhibits any symptoms of Covid.
-Everyone entering the gym must have their temperature checked before entering the building (students AND staff).
-No one (instructors or students) will be allowed in the gym if they are exhibiting a cough or temperature.
-Staff will be responsible for cleaning high traffic areas once an hour.
-Cleaning stations are set up throughout the gym. We have also purchased a fogger for disinfecting the entire facility at the end of each day.
-Only 1 person is allowed in each bathroom at a time. Bathrooms will be cleaned as frequently as possible, but at a minimum, every hour.
-Indicators will be used throughout the gym and on the doors of the bathrooms to indicate when the station/lavatory has been used to help guarantee cleanings between uses.
**In addition, please keep in mind: The in-ground trampolines require socks! Please bring a fresh pair for students to keep in their gym bag.
